Hi, I’m Dan MacCombie. I’m a therapist working to help us remember how to be with each other - and with every moment of our own experience.
I’ve been a Co-Founder and Co-CEO, multi-times advisor/board member, and have spoken and facilitated in front of audiences of all sizes far and wide.
I also coach/facilitate individuals and co-founders as they create the greatest fulfillment, possibility, and change in their lives, work, and worlds.
In 2009, I moved to Ecuador to co-found Runa, an Amazonian social enterprise and tea company. Together with my Co-Founder and Co-CEO, I spent 8 years building an organization that introduced guayusa tea to North America, impacting the lives of thousands of farmers, creating a new economic model in the Amazon, and sharing a beverage that's been drank tens of millions of times. Runa was sold to Vita Coco in 2018.
I coach and facilitate individuals, workshops, and retreats. Including, since 2017, leading men’s retreats with EVRYMAN. We help men connect to our emotions, communities, and lived experience, moving past outdated versions of masculinity.
In 2020, I began studying and training to be a mental health counselor at Northwestern University and am now a Licensed Associate Counselor in New Jersey. The pandemic showed me the next step on my life path, and I’m excited to share that path with others. I began seeing clients in my internship, and once I graduated and gained my license, many of those same clients chose to keep working with me. Clients have told me they appreciate my warmth, willingness to name what I experience with them in our work, and ability to collaboratively explore and address experiences of trauma, marginalization, and loneliness.
