Therapy is about feeling understood, trusting the setting, and exploring change in a safe environment.

As a Licensed Associate Counselor in New Jersey, I help my clients:

  • Navigate challenges in relationships and work.

  • Work through inner emotional struggles.

  • Understand how they are seen by the world, and how identity shapes worldview.

  • Reframe what has happened in their lives.

  • Make new choices about how they want to live on their own terms.

If you’d like to learn more or consider working with me as a therapist, please send me an email and we can discuss, or you can go ahead and schedule an introductory (and complimentary) consultation call.

My Background and Approach

I believe therapy works best when we consider both what happened in your life that brought you to this moment, and how you live in this moment that affects you and your relationships.

As we build trust and connection, we'll look at the events that made you who you are and built your patterns. I'll support you in connecting more deeply to your present moment through emotional awareness, felt experience, and in-the-moment processing, so we can uncover how your inner world plays out in your current life, and what you can do to shift the patterns you may have been carrying unconsciously.

I've trained in and spent time focusing on mindfulness, men's issues, gestalt therapy, psychodynamic therapy, psychedelic integration, and other modalities that support growth. As we work together, we may talk about friends, family, romance, career, leadership, friendship, and everything in between - I believe they are all pieces of the same thing.

What I believe

I believe that authentic connection is central to both good therapy and general happiness. Our world so often tells us we have to do this alone, but we're wired for connection and engagement.

As someone who identifies as white, male, and privileged, I see it as my responsibility and honor to ensure that I recognize my clients' experience fully and do my own work, too.

For many reasons, many of my clients have been gay men, and I've been told that I was one of the first straight men that many of them felt they could trust.

That's one of the most meaningful things anyone has ever told me. I'm a big believer in the potential of psychedelic therapy, and I've been advocating for sensible drug policies for years. I'm trained and practice in the integration of psychedelic experiences and am an ardent harm reductionist. I also have been deeply impacted by the natural world and its power to heal us. I weave that into my work, too.
